Maximum durability under extreme conditions and brilliant colour and design requirements - these are the demands placed on aluminium front panels for immersion communication devices. By using our ^{alugraphics®} sub-anodised printing technology, we are up to the challenge.

 

The customer's requirements

In addition to seawater resistance in both fresh and salt water, the front panels also had to have high UV stability and absolute scratch resistance. High design standards and functional perfection are also a matter of course for Sommer products.

Our solution

Based on the requirements profile, we developed a customised solution that meets the highest quality standards and perfectly fulfils the customer's demands:

• A durable anodised surface protects the front panel and withstands mechanical, thermal and chemical stress.
• With ^{alugraphics®} printing technology, the design is printed directly under the transparent anodised surface of the aluminium front panel, similar to a tattoo. This not only ensures the necessary robustness of the print, but also the brilliant colours.
• We were even able to meet very tight tolerance specifications for the milled part with the utmost precision.

Thanks to the combination of maximum surface resistance, functional precision and elegant design, the aluminium front panels for diving equipment from Sommer were able to meet the high demands and have been used worldwide ever since.
